OK, some noisy stuff from the Bay Area in 2003– Curse of the Birthmark now come equipped w/ Weasel Walter (see Flying Luttenbachers) & destroy even more readily. sister-brother-band Fuckwolf are rad, too, & probably more ear-friendly for the sensitive. “The New Classic”
I can’t tell you anything about What To Wear except that they put out an exceptionally rad EP on Basic N Typical Records around 1980 that for some reason included a dub version of one song. “The Robbery”
I’m not a big Magma head by any means but I love this Jannick Top single, dopey or not: ‘76, “Utopia Viva”
Hasslehound are three samplers based in Scotland. before this year’s album they had some 10″ out on Pickled Egg Records (?) but I’m not sure when. anyway, the new one, Limelight Cordial is really great, get it. for fans of Cacoy at their best, maybe. you might’ve heard “Lucky Bugs Win Prizes” on the Childish Music comp Staubgold put out last year. “Hazel”
I’m running out of time so finally, from the Chicagoan masters who brought you that massive horn sample in “Crazy In Love,” here’s the Chi-Lites’ “I Like Your Lovin’ (Do You Like Mine).” RIP, Eugene Record.

aww. I got THIS CLOSE to seeing Fuckwolf once. It’s weird hearing Mr NH dropping local names.
