It is nothing but sadness when I here a tune from Gram, It reminds me of the greatest loss in country music greater then Hank himself. It also has a reminder of my suddent esculated hatrid for drugs and there dealers when I hear of his death from an overdose. He WAS thee insperation for me to play a pedal steel guitar and play one well. He was in my opinion the wind beneat Emmy Lou’s wings and had a way of penatrating the souls of other musiccians, greatly influencing their “Style” of playing.
Anyone touched by Gram’s spirit shows a southwestern style in their music and especially lyrics.

In My Hour of Darkness is otherworldly; like he’s singing his own eulogy.
